Change of venue
We are now holding our meetings at the Pavilion, Rhewl, Ruthin. We meet approximately once a month through out the year on a Thursday afternoon between 2 and 4.30 see dates in programme list. 6 Workshops held on Saturdays
Directions from Ruthin
Take the main road from Ruthin to Denbigh A525 on reaching Rhewl turn right sign posted Llandyrnog , Gellifor. Proceed down road for approximately a couple of hundred yards. On the left hand side there are railing surrounding a playing field. Turn into the car park here off the side road on your left The Pavilion is facing the playing field and the building is painted creamy yellow, address The Pavilion, Rhewl, Ruthin LL15 1TN
Directions from Denbigh
Take the main road from Denbigh to Ruthin (A525). At Rhewl pass the Drovers pub on your left hand side, then continue. Take the last left turn in the village signposted Llandyrnog , Gellifor. Proceed down the road for a couple of hundred yards. On left hand side there are railings surrounding a playing field. Turn into the car park here, off the side road on your left. The Pavilion is facing the playing field and is painted a creamy yellow, address Pavilion Rhewl Ruthin LL15 1TN
Reaching the Pavilion by bus
The bus stops in the village and the pavilion is within easy walking distance

Feruary 14th Thursday 2-4.30. T Gwyn Williams Presentation on Leonardo Da Vinci, “A Life In Drawing” all memebrs welcome along with non memebrs at a charge of £5.00 per person
February 21st it to the Walker Gallery Liverpool Leonardo Da Vinci “A Life in Drawing” exhibition 12 drawings part of a national exhibition being run simultaneously, through out the country. March 16th Saturday workshop tutored by Tara Dean please note that there has been a date change with this workshop being moved from 6th to 16th of March. Denbigh based, Tara is an illustrator and print maker to view her work go to her web site www.taradean.co.uk the number of participants will be limited to 10. March 28th AGM Thursday 2 to 4.30 demonstration on Portraiture by James Guy Eccleston following James ‘s demonstration there will be Tea and cakes and then the afternoon will be completed with the AGM. It is important that members try to attend as we have some important decisions to vote on this year.
April 1st Monday Dropping off day for entries to the 59th annual Exhibition at Theatr Clwyd, to be taken to Theatr Clwyd 10 to 10.30am
April 4th Thursday 2 to 4.30 Portraiture with Sian Jones as model
April 18th Thursday 2 to 4.30 Life drawing with Life model Rebecca Collins this afternoon will be tutored. No charge for members for this afternoon but will be open to non members with charge of £5.00
April 27th Saturday morning collect unsold pictures from Theatr Clwyd, Mold by 11.30am
May 2nd Thursday 2-4.30 Demonstration and short workshop tutored by Liz Bolloten ‘Wayside flowers’ Liz works very loosely with watercolour to view her work go to her website www.lizbolleten.co.uk or visit the Bodnant- Gallery.
May 11th Saturday workshop, tutored by Bob Goldsborough returning by popular demand The workshop will be limited to 10 participants and subject matter has yet to be chosen 10.30 to 3.30 with short break for lunch. If you wish to attend please e mail to Mrs Linda Butlin as the workshop is limited to 12 places
May 16th Thursday 11 – 4 Sketching day at The Lawnt Denbigh by kind permission of Captain and Mrs Cunningham, those interested in attending will need to inform Julia Jones a week before, as this is a private estate. juliajones_03@yahoo.co.uk
May 23rd Thursday 2-4.30 Life model Rebecca Collins no charge will be made for this afternoon but it will be open to non members with a charge of £5.

June 19th WEDNESDAY Sketching day at Nant Clwyd y Dre, Ruthin, meet at Costa at 10.30 if you would like a coffee to start the day, otherwise meet at Nant Clwyd y Dre the garden opens at 11.am and remains open till 5
July 6th Saturday 10.30 – 3.30 workshop tutored by Bill Gribble who specialise in water based oil landscapes limited to 10 attendees. If you wish to attend please e mail Mrs Linda Butlin ednyved@gmail.com to book a place
July 15th to 19th Monday to Friday untutored holiday in Dolgellau, 7 rooms have been booked at the Royal Ship Hotel, Dolgellau tel:- 01341 422209 four nights Monday 15th to Friday 19th July 3 twin and 4 double the charge for each room will be £328.12, B&B please book direct to secure a room mentioning Mrs. Tina Edwards and the Clwydian Art Society. It is a chance to enjoy good company along. Painting and drawing as much as you would like to undertake. Spend time with your friends or go off on your own and meet up for dinner in the evenings
August 8th Thursday meet a Finn y Parc 11.am view exhibition by Welsh Women, Lluned Rhys Parr, Sarah Carvell, Seren Morgan Jones, after lunch the day will continue with en plein air painting / sketching

Clwydian Art Society 59th Annual Exhibition
Theatr Clwyd 1st. to 27 th April 2019
Conditions of entry :-
1. All work must be original, copies are not acceptable. Only work by paid up members will be accepted.No work previously exhibited in the Society’s exhibition will be accepted
2. All work must be framed and mirror plated these should be attached centrally on each side with protecting tape across screws on mirror plates
3. 2 works per member may be submitted no size restriction.
4. Entrance fee £4.00 per item
5. Each work must be clearly labelled with a tag long enough to hang to the front
With the Artists name, Title, Medium, and Price. (When pricing take the commission into consideration) 30% commission will be charged.
6. Although care is taken with all works the Clwydian Art Society cannot accept responsibility for loss or any damage to work. In the event of accidental damage, please be aware that insurance of your property is your own responsibility
7. Details on the entrance form can’t be altered once once submitted
8. Handing in day at Theatr Clwyd Monday 1st April 2019 10.00 to 10.30 am
9. Collection day at Theatr Clwyd Friday 27th April 2019
